The Who:

As a QA Automation Engineer at Fintel Connect, you will work closely with the QA manager and scale our automated testing strategy across web applications and APIs. You will be responsible for validating features end-to-end, ensuring regressions are caught quickly, and enabling the engineering team to move fast while maintaining high standards of quality.

The Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain sustainable design systems for Fintel Connect applications and products, including reusable UI components and assets.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright and related tools
• Validate frontend functionality with a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, and browser behaviour
• Perform manual tests with meticulous attention to detail
• Build and manage test plans and cases, and coordinate testing across teams as required
• Identify and document defects, bugs, and errors within the system in multiple development environments
• Prior to production deployment, work with developers to verify fixes
• Create and maintain system documentation
• Stage test environments to reproduce customer-reported issues
• Monitor and add data required for the AI to continue to learn
• Review raw AI data to ensure it is behaving as expected
• Collaborate with teams to enhance the quality of software delivery using end-to-end testing
  

The Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science with interest and knowledge in Quality Control
• 3+ years of experience in writing end-to-end test cases and testing API endpoints
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify test scenarios and implement automation using tools such as Playwright or similar JavaScript-based frameworks
• Explore and integrate AI-driven solutions to accelerate the QA process, including test case generation and test result analysis
• Participate in code reviews, defect triage, and sprint planning, gaining exposure to Agile development workflows
• Continuously learn and apply best practices in QA automation and AI to streamline testing and improve coverage
• Solid understanding of web development fundamentals (DOM, browser behaviour, network requests, APIs)
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time, with competing deadlines
