What you’ll do: The Mortgage Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines throughout the mortgage origination and servicing process. This role involves reviewing loan files, identifying discrepancies, and implementing improvements to enhance the quality of mortgage operations and servicing.
Conduct 100% review of loan files and prepare and submit HMDA data reporting monthly to the Compliance department.
Conduct and manage the pre- and post-closing quality control with Metasource an outside vendor, on a percentage of loans
Perform a review of all in-house mortgages to ensure accurate boarding into IBS
Quality control on the annual escrow analysis of the portfolio
Review daily maintenance report for accuracy
Stay compliant with all regulations and bank policies/procedures
Additional job duties may be assigned
Identify trends and escalate to management
Attend weekly/monthly meetings with operations and servicing
What do you need?
At least 2 years quality assurance background
At least 2 years of banking background and regulations
Basic knowledge of loan documents/ origination and servicing processes
Strong organizational skills including daily scheduling and timely document delivery
Attention to details
Ability to handle multiple tasks successfully
Capable of working outside the realm of job functions when necessary
Capable of working alone
Familiarity with Encompass, FIS IBS, spreadsheets and reporting definite PLUS!
