What You’ll Do:
- Assist with audit fieldwork by preparing audit documentation,
- Perform routine testing as directed by senior or manager of financial, operational and other process areas as assigned.
- Report to Audit Team with updates on progress and/or issues with assigned tests and tasks.
- Gain an understanding of Internal Audit policies, methodologies, and standards
- Begin to learn business strategies, processes, and regulations (both on the job and through relevant training)
- Establish a foundational understanding of core concepts in data analytics, relevant technology, the regulatory environment, the financial services industry, project management and business processes.
- Apply judgement on the reasonableness of information used as inputs for testing and complex issue analysis.
- Identify innovative solutions to audit issues.
- Engage in the exchange of information and develop communication skills and relationships with the Audit Project Leader, other Audit associates, and clients.
- Gain trust and confidence of team members as an internal resource capable of creating and maintaining accurate and clear work documents, as well as being reliable for completing tasks on time and on budget.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What Do You Need?
Must Haves:
- 0-2 years of work experience
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.
Key Skills:
- Basic understanding of accounting and/or management Information Systems
- Ability to effectively communicate with different personalities and business units.
- Aptitude for problem solving.
- Detail-oriented, as well as possess strong analytical and organizational skills to handle tasks efficiently and spot audit inefficiencies.
- Time management and planning skills
- Reliability in commitments and assignments
- Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative.
Nice to Haves:
- Interest in audit and technology.
Technology Skills:
- Ability to work with the Microsoft Suite and learn/work with other Customers Bank’s applications
- Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
