What You’ll Do:

The SBA Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of Small Business Administration (SBA) loans, ensuring compliance with SBA guidelines and bank policies. This role involves conducting financial analysis, monitoring loan performance, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients. The SBA Portfolio Manager will play a key role in maintaining client relationships and supporting customer requests while ensuring the ongoing health and success of the SBA loan portfolio.

Financial Analysis and Client Relationship Management:

  • Conduct financial analysis on existing customers to assess the financial health of businesses within the portfolio.

  • Review client relationships and ensure that financial analyses are up to date, particularly in response to customer inquiries and servicing requests.

  • Evaluate customer requests, such as modifications or extensions, and provide recommendations based on financial performance and SBA guidelines.

Portfolio Management:

  • Manage an existing portfolio of SBA loans, focusing on maintaining strong client relationships and developing opportunities for further servicing and loan growth.

  • Monitor loan performance through review of delinquencies, annual reviews, financial analysis, and regular communication with customers to ensure compliance with SBA regulations and bank policies.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure all loan servicing actions comply with SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and bank policies.

  • Prepare and submit deferments and other servicing requests for review and approval.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan documentation and records.

Customer Service:

  • Provide consistent, high-quality customer service to both internal and external clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and supporting customer needs related to SBA loans.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients within the portfolio, providing solutions and guidance tailored to individual business needs.

What Do You Need?

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in banking or similar industry with a proven track record in credit administrative and portfolio management.

  • Prior SBA lending experience is highly preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.

Technology Skills:

  • Ability to work with the Microsoft Suite and learn/work with other Customers Bank’s applications
