OVERVIEW
As a Data Analyst III, you will lead complex analyses and partner closely with stakeholders to shape how data is used within your domain. You will operate with significant autonomy, contribute to metric design, and help ensure analytical work is built on strong data foundations.
RESPONSIBILITIES (HOW YOU’LL DO IT)
Lead complex analytical initiatives, including ambiguous problem spaces.
Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and analytical frameworks.
Perform deep-dive analyses using SQL and advanced analytical techniques.
Build executive-facing dashboards and analytical outputs.
Ensure analytical integrity by understanding upstream data models and transformations.
Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to refine data models, metrics, and semantic layers.
Review and provide feedback on analyses from junior analysts.
Drive best practices in analytical rigor, documentation, and storytelling.
Identify opportunities to improve data quality, metric definitions, and analytical workflows.
Contribute to analytics engineering workflows (e.g., reviewing dbt models, suggesting improvements).
Communicate insights through clear visualizations and narratives.
QUALIFICATIONS (WHAT YOU’LL BRING)
5–7+ years of experience in analytics, data analysis, or decision science roles.
Demonstrated equivalent experience leading complex analytical work may substitute for formal advanced education.
Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with analytical tooling.
Experience working with modern BI platforms and semantic layers.
Solid understanding of data modeling and transformation concepts (e.g., dbt familiarity preferred).
Experience working in collaborative, version-controlled environments (Git).
Strong communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field required; advanced degree (e.g., Master’s) is a plus but not required.
