OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Quality Engineering Manager to lead our software quality efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage varying business requirements in dynamic environment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive the software quality development process, ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, and adapt to complex business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE

  • Lead the culture of “quality as a feature” to a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with business, partner, and Engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable and reportable test plans.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure that the engineering team adheres to best practices in quality assurance processes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration in quality, within the engineering team.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and assets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of software quality.
  • Act as a liaison between the engineering team and other departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Establish SLAs, KPIs, and dashboards to measure quality governance, testing effectiveness, and software quality improvements.
  • Use AI and LLM tools to automate test creation, execution and reporting.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a software engineering management role, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex software projects.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development and automated test architecture, and design.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage varying business requirements and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Ability to context switch quickly and effectively with many inputs.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of relevant/progressive experience in Software Development Quality Assurance.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in Software Development Quality Assurance.
  • Experience in Financial services. More specifically Banking as a Service solutions.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud and programming technologies (Azure, Typescript, Datadog).
  • Previous experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.

Salary Description
$146,000 - $195,000
