OVERVIEW
The Sr. Client Manager is a high-impact individual contributor and key driver of deposit growth within a defined market. This role focuses on affluent consumers and businesses, delivering personalized financial solutions through proactive outreach, relationship building, and community engagement. Sr. Client Managers are responsible for growing the portfolio through deposit gathering and onboarding new-to-bank customers, ensuring seamless product and service implementation in partnership with internal teams. They serve as trusted advisors, managing branch customer portfolios and collaborating with Bank Center Managers and internal partners to deliver consistent client experience and meet market-level growth goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE
- Manage and grow a portfolio of affluent clients and businesses.
- Retain and deepen relationships via personalized service and solution-oriented engagement.
- Championing a customer-first culture focused on needs-based solutions and long-term value.
- Lead efforts to acquire new-to-bank relationships and drive deposit growth.
- Ensure effective onboarding and implementation of products and services for new clients.
- Serve as the primary resource for deposit strategies across assigned branches.
- Drive outbound prospecting, lead generation, and referral sourcing.
- Represent Coastal at chambers, business associations, and community events.
- Partner with internal lines of business, Senior Client Managers, and other internal partners to expand client relationships and generate cross-functional referrals.
- Support pipeline management and contribute to market-level growth strategies.
- Measured on acquisition of new-to-bank relationships, deposit growth, onboarding effectiveness, and portfolio expansion.
- Accountable for client retention, cross-sell success, and revenue contribution.
- Work closely with Market Managers, Banking Center Managers, and product specialists.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve client issues and deliver value.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years in banking, financial services, or relationship management.
- Proven success in deposit gathering, business development, and portfolio growth.
- Strong understanding of deposit and lending products.
- Excellent communication, consultative selling, and client service skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to travel between assigned branches.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in banking business development, financial services, or relationship management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
