WHAT YOU'LL DO
As Data Integrity Specialist II - CRA at Coastal, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data related to Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) reportable lending. Your responsibilities include performing quality control on CRA data, addressing audit findings, and acting as the subject matter expert (SME) and liaison for data integrity. You will support the CRA Officer with compliance efforts, manage operational data processes, and assist with data reporting and risk assessments. Your work will help the bank stay compliant with regulatory changes and improve the overall CRA Compliance Programs.
HOW YOU'LL DO IT
- Oversee data integrity for all CRA data streams, ensuring accuracy and quality control of reportable lending data.
- Perform quality control and data scrubs by reviewing transactions, compiling data, and resolving errors.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) and liaison for data integrity, maintaining organized records and addressing audit findings.
- Prepare and update risk assessments promptly, ensuring timely updates and follow-up on findings.
- Manage operational data processes through lending analytics software to maintain data accuracy.
- Assist the CRA Manager with compliance efforts, supporting research, responses, and data reporting.
- Review and update compliance documents and training materials to keep content current.
- Provide feedback on updates to compliance tools and resources, such as review checklists.
- Stay current on compliance changes and educate others within the Bank.
- Support cross-regulation compliance, including HMDA, fair lending, and UDAAP.
- Prepare materials for committees and exams, compiling data and supporting CRA New Rule policies.
- Attend relevant compliance meetings, seminars, and training to stay informed on industry best practices.
- Participate in internal and CCBX partner meetings to collaborate on data compliance.
- Develop and maintain a CRA data framework project plan to ensure alignment with data reporting work streams.
- Address audit findings or deficiencies and ensure satisfactory remediation.
- Assist with data reporting, including the development of quarterly presentations.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to review, compile, and analyze large datasets.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and promptly resolve errors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to educate and update others.
- Ability to work collaboratively, liaising with cross-functional teams and participating in meetings.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain organized records and documentation.
- Active learner who stays current with regulatory changes to stay current and apply best practices.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Data Management, Finance, or a related field; or
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, data management, or a related field, preferably within the banking or financial services industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of CRA, HMDA, 1071, Fair Lending, and other compliance regulations.
- Knowledge of CRA, HMDA and FL software, including, but not limited to, RiskExec, CRA, HMDA and FL Wiz, etc.
- Proficiency in compliance tools and techniques, with the ability to generate actionable insights.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word.
