OVERVIEW
In this role you will assist in the day-to-day operations of BaaS Programs, with an emphasis on the oversight of preparing and posting daily journal entries and related processes. As a BaaS Program Analyst III- Loan Operations, you will have a strong understanding of the products/services within the BaaS Program and be able to support the strategic goals of the Company.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE
- Prepare, post and review daily journal entries for BaaS Programs. Assist with quality control for the department in this function.
- Ensure that supporting documentation and processes are following internal control standards.
- Assist with quality control for document archival activities.
- Research and solve moderate-complexity problems.
- Interface with other bank departments and BaaS partners to facilitate program maintenance, resolve issues and escalate inquiries. Support department employees in this function.
- Participate in partner meetings and internal committees.
- Perform loan servicing activities.
- Assist with preparation of audit materials and responses.
- Monitor and reconcile/balance program accounts. Perform account certifications.
- Maintain a thorough understanding and proficiency in all daily operational tasks. Assist in maintaining department procedures.
- Coach and set an example to team members in daily functions to ensure accurate, efficient, and effective processes.
- Perform other operational processes for BaaS Programs as needed.
- Make recommendations to management when and where appropriate.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of the rules and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Regulation E, Truth In Savings Act and Unfair, Deceptive?or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP).
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- 9 plus years of relevant banking and/or financial accounting and/or reconciliation experience strongly preferred.
- 3 years prior BaaS (FinTech) experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business; or combination of learning certificates and/or experience.
- Understand and apply accounting principles as they relate to BaaS programs and funds flows.
- Knowledge and understanding of BaaS (FinTech) with a strong technical background in bank operations, cash settlement and reconciliation, accounting, and data analysis.
- General understanding and knowledge of bank operations (ACH, Wires, Loan Servicing, Credit Charge Offs, Loan/Receivable Sales and Purchases, etc.).
- Previous experience navigating and processing high volume of transactions within a core bank system. FIS Horizon preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products to include Word, Outlook, Office, Teams, Sharepoint.
- Mid to advanced competency with Microsoft Excel skills to include XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and function formulas required.
- Familiarity with relational database systems & data applications such as Snowflake, PowerBI, and Looker are a plus.
- Experience with a ticketing system preferred (Ex: Clickup).
