WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) Testing Team will support FCC by conducting Quality Assurance (QA) reviews and financial crimes compliance testing within the Bank.
You will be responsible for leading, coordinating and conducting Quality Assurance reviews to assess the design and effectiveness of compliance controls implemented within the various FCC teams. You’ll document, report and escalate observations, issues, and any violations of laws or breaches in policy, and make recommendations for policy, procedure, and process improvements.
Additionally, you will lead, coordinate and conduct compliance testing reviews to be performed on BSA/AML/OFAC related processes completed outside of FCC. You’ll include the assessment of design and effectiveness of compliance controls implemented as well as document, report and escalate observations, issues, and any violations of laws or breaches in policy. You’ll make recommendations for policy, procedure, and process improvements, and validate adequacy of remediation taken to address reported issues.
HOW YOU'LL DO IT
- Understand and communicate financial crimes compliance regulations, identified risks, and effectively provide solutions to risks while developing strong relationships.
- Independently conduct QA reviews and compliance testing.
- Identify issues, write testing reports, determine the potential regulatory concern, and provide recommendations to resolve.
- Track test finding responses and outcomes to resolution, following escalation protocol when needed.
- Assist with monitoring and managing the QA review and testing process to the testing schedule to ensure timely completion and reporting of review and testing results.
- Assist with creating QA review and compliance test plans.
- Help resolve Financial Crimes or bank related risk, escalating as needed to leadership.
- Support the team as needed with program development, suggesting improvements when necessary, and following outlined procedures.
- Provide testing status and results reports to FCC Leadership.
- Expand knowledge of the rules and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA Patriot Act, OFAC.
- Take on special projects within the department as the need arises.
- Perform assigned duties within the expected delivery dates.
- Follow and comply with all regulatory and compliance regulations.
- Observe strict confidentiality requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING

- Expert level knowledge of and ability to train on electronic transactions – ACH, debit and credit network.
- Expert in investigations and research of customer and transactions using core system, AML software, social media, or internet.
- Expert analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems with minimum guidance.
- Expert problem-solving skills with the ability to be creative and flexible while still meeting requirements.
- Effective time management, planning and organizational skills, with proven accuracy.
- Expert management and prioritization of multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 6-10 years’ experience in Financial Crimes Compliance with an emphasis in Quality Assurance or Compliance Testing.
- CAMS certification preferred.
- Expertise in AML concepts with confidence: AML, BSA, CIP, KYC, CDD, EDD, OFAC, SAR.
- Thorough knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and related regulations.
- Knowledge of Bank Operations and Business Units preferred.
