Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Trainer will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and executing comprehensive sales training programs to enhance the performance and effectiveness of the sales team. This role will also include managing a quality adherence program to ensure that all sales activities align with company standards and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will design training modules, facilitate workshops, and conduct ongoing assessments to ensure continuous development. Additionally, the Trainer will monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of training programs and implement improvements to maintain high-quality standards across all sales processes. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for coaching, a deep understanding of sales techniques, and a commitment to maintaining operational excellence in sales practices.

  • Guide new hires through the company's sales processes, tools, and quality standards, setting them up for success in their roles.
  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive sales training programs tailored to the needs of the sales team.
  • Conduct engaging training sessions and workshops, focusing on sales techniques, product knowledge, customer interaction, and effective communication strategies.
  • Continuously update training content to reflect the latest industry trends, company products, and sales strategies.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of training programs and quality adherence.
  • Provide regular reports and recommendations to management on the progress of training initiatives and the overall performance of the sales team.
  • Conduct performance analysis and skill assessments to identify areas for improvement and address knowledge gaps.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to sales representatives, focusing on individual skill development, performance improvement, and goal achievement.
  • Foster a continuous learning environment that encourages feedback and self-improvement.
  • Lead group coaching sessions to address team-wide challenges and improve overall team performance.
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and quality adherence initiatives through feedback, surveys, and performance data.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in sales training, learning methodologies, and quality control to continuously evolve training approaches.
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of the quality adherence program to ensure that sales practices align with company standards and compliance regulations.
  • Manage a Quality Analyst who will be responsible for monitoring sales calls, tracking performance, and identifying trends related to quality and compliance.
  • Review and analyze reports from the Quality Analyst to identify performance trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for targeted coaching or additional training.
  • Regularly assess and refine the quality adherence program to ensure it is continuously improving and remains aligned with business objectives and industry regulations.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Education, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales training, coaching, or a similar role, with a demonstrated ability to enhance team performance.
  • Experience managing or mentoring a team, preferably with direct responsibility for a Quality Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage, train, and coach individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions for program improvements.
  • Ability to create and deliver effective training materials and programs.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot issues or areas for improvement in sales calls or processes.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other common business tools.
  • Familiarity with training software, call monitoring tools, and reporting systems.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does have supervisory responsibilities and is expected to mentor new team members and junior level positions.
